THE STORY
…And life began with a sin of gluttony…
At Via del Seminario 105, a stone's throw from the Pantheon, the only Roman monument that has remained intact in almost 2000 years of history, we find this small and welcoming restaurant, the result of the dedication and culinary culture of the Betturri family, who since 1924 have delighted the palates of customers and residents by cooking typical dishes of the Roman tradition.
What was once a “carbonaro” and later a fashion atelier has now been transformed into one of the most welcoming places in the heart of the eternal city.
CURIOSITY
Tabernae in ancient Rome were places where it was possible to drink and eat on site, characterised by rustic but comfortable furnishings.
The tavern of the seminary reflects that philosophy, the kitchen is the beating heart of the restaurant which is located in the center of the city, between Piazza della Rotonda and Via del Corso. It is a restaurant where you can taste many traditional Roman and Italian dishes, as well as a pizza whose dough is naturally leavened for 24 hours.
