Sala interna Taverna del Seminario

Typical Roman cuisine
in the center of Rome

…And life began with a sin of gluttony…

At Via del Seminario 105, a stone's throw from the Pantheon, the only Roman monument that has remained intact in almost 2000 years of history, we find this small and welcoming restaurant, the result of the dedication and culinary culture of the Betturri family, who since 1924 have delighted the palates of customers and residents by cooking typical dishes of the Roman tradition.

What was once a “carbonaro” and later a fashion atelier has now been transformed into one of the most welcoming places in the heart of the eternal city.

THE STORY

CURIOSITY

Tabernae in ancient Rome were places where it was possible to drink and eat on site, characterised by rustic but comfortable furnishings.

The tavern of the seminary reflects that philosophy, the kitchen is the beating heart of the restaurant which is located in the center of the city, between Piazza della Rotonda and Via del Corso. It is a restaurant where you can taste many traditional Roman and Italian dishes, as well as a pizza whose dough is naturally leavened for 24 hours.

We like to use natural and controlled ingredients, this is why our fresh pasta is homemade every day with top quality semolina flour and bronze drawn;

Our desserts are simple but good as tradition dictates and are expertly prepared every day;

Our wine list, typically Italian, is for all tastes and budgets;

Our staff is international to meet the needs of all those who visit the most beautiful city in the world.

After I gave up pasta and bread,

I haven't dropped for ten days, and yet

I resist, I suffer and I follow the treatments…

It seems like a year to me and it's only two weeks!

I don't even sleep soundly anymore,

to give me the conchiglioni to the tortures,

I'll pass them on to imagine the svojatures

with his tongue sticking out like a dog.

But is it worth it to say so?

far from a table and a chair

do they think he has to die?

It's not to be a Roman fanatic;

but in the face of this state of starvation,

better to die with a fork in hand!

Aldo Fabrizi

Oh wow, I like it, I only ate it

mom.

What's the matter with you, we talked about it

let's talk about it.

I don't live in a cult, but I'll go to bed

I like this habit.

Yes, that's good: you want it anyway. Now we had it

are you sticking?

What do you say? What's wrong? And I'm...

I'm going to eat it…

Can you make me say a word?

This is the meat with the tomato.

Eduardo DeFilippo
